London Boat Party

I spent a rather lovely sunny day sailing the River Thames last week, as a lucky plus-one on a boat party. We began the trip from Kew and spent a couple of hours touring the most famous sights of Westminster, through to tower bridge. It was happily not as rocky as I was expecting, and the weather didn't get us too windswept! The Houses Of Parliament is having restoration work done which was spoiling all those tourists photographs, but it was still wonderful to see all these landmarks from a different point of view, bobbing along on the river!

As the party boat docked at Westminster it would have been rude not to take a quick spin on The London Eye, we timed it perfect to see the sunset across London. I have been on it a couple of times but there's always something new to spot, this time the 'Walkie Talkie' building had sprung up and the Shard in it's entirety. A very happy way to spend a Friday!

Thanks for popping by,

Katie

Truly an excellent boat party! I always wanted to be part of one such party and hope to attend soon. Right now, looking for beautiful venues Chicago for arranging my office’s outdoor event in couple of months and have to organize it too.
